Overview

With hundreds of women running in this year's midterm elections, 2018 is already being called the “Year of the Woman.” At the same time, women are also taking a stand for equal rights and opportunities in their public and private lives, setting the stage for change.

Today, when Latinas hold barely 1.5 percent of major public offices, how are current Hispanic women leaders encouraging the next generation to pursue leadership opportunities in politics and beyond? What should leaders in male-dominated fields of technology, science, business and media be doing to mentor and advance promising young Latinas?

The Hill and The Hill Latino are convening Latina leaders from both the public and private sectors for the second annual Latina Leaders Summit featuring a series of high-level conversations on diversifying the pipeline of tomorrow’s Hispanic women leaders.
